old blue-eyes

It's been a good couple of weeks for Francis who is developing fast. On Jan 10th he became a little Episcopalian. By Monday the 11th, he was rolling from his back to his belly and then his belly to his back. By the 13th he was wearing Size 3 diapers. He's still driving us crazy by not sleeping terribly well, and wakes up between 3 and 6 times every night. However, for the 6th night in a row when he goes to bed at 8pm, he stays asleep for at least 3 hours and recognizes it's bedtime.

Jess and Will decided they were being silly by letting a 4-month old baby hold them prisoner at home, and on Friday successfully went to a Mexican restaurant (although Jess had to hold Francis in her lap and eat). Francis has been using his hands more, including sucking on them and slobbering everywhere. Francis probably ends up eating a lot of fuzz accidentally.

Francis was recently loaned an exersaucer (thanks Emmie!) which he's fascinated by, although he doesn't know quite what to do in it.

  1. Phew! I'm glad you guys are finally leaving the house. I have to say, I was a little worried that all of that isolation might cause Will to go crazy "The Shining" style, and Jess might come home one day to him typing "all work and no play makes Will a dull boy" over and over again.
We can't wait to see Francipants when you are in town again. By that time August will likely be walking. I am truly afraid about this.

  2. Obviously a Smart Boy.

If he was only cute like his Grandpa we'd have something going here...
